Why Art?
Art is a release of human emotion and a way to bond without words. People have a variety of reasons to create art: pain, loss, suffering, joy, elation, celebration, fear, sadness, thrill - the list is indefinite. That is the beauty of it. It is transcendent of time, boundary, language, and experience. Anyone can do it, and there is no correct way. It cannot be judged or ridiculed because it is a safe space for experimentation, connection, and hope. As long as humans have existed, so has art. It will endure through each and every trial that humans experience. It will heal, relieve, and renew. It can be powerful and loud or personal and quiet. It can be whatever the artist needs it to be: something nothing else in the world can say.
